Our Output Management background
With its original IBM Mainframe background, HH&S developed relationships with large IBM organizations, including companies specializing in mailing and Output Management.
During the 1990s, central IBM systems opened to UNIX and Windows environments while EDI expanded. HH&S contributed to numerous migration and integration projects across these environments.
- Integration of IBM UNIX systems—AIX—for production, with a shared MVS, VM/CMS and AIX development base using DB2, C, COBOL and REXX.
- Design of the production and monitoring architecture, including a lightweight web client. The resulting production intranet has operated continuously since 1997.
- Migration from VM/CMS to Windows, with REXX procedures ported unchanged through our EVMPR VM runtime.
- Migration of MVS production workloads to UNIX using ACMU for JCL conversion, XSM for IBM SORT-compatible processing, and HSPO for JES2 spool offload processing.
- Continuous consulting and training in systems, networks and programming.
Our clients and partners in this sector have included DATAPOST/DOCAPOST, MIKROS, SPEOS, DATAONE, Presse Informatique, HP Exstream France, Systèmes & Documents, NORMAD1, Samarcande, BDOC and TESSI Documents Services.
We are also familiar with software vendors whose tools are used by many of our clients, including Beta Systems, LRS and Rocket Software.
HH&S provides Output Management architecture and integration expertise grounded in a detailed understanding of the underlying technical environments.
